Bedroom Rugs
A good bedroom rug is soft first, because it meets bare feet: a deeper pile in New Zealand wool, Grade I Terra, or wool with Botanical Silk for sheen. Lay it under the lower two thirds of the bed so it shows 45 to 60 cm on each side where your feet land.

About Bedroom Rugs
Rugberry bedroom rugs are hand tufted or woven on the handloom, held in six standard sizes, and can be made to measure around any bed. Related: 5x8 ft rugs, 6x9 ft rugs and the Plush Collection. From the journal: the bedroom rug size guide and rug under the bed layouts.
Bedroom Rugs: questions
What size rug goes under a bed?
For a queen bed an 8x10 ft rug is the usual choice, and 9x12 ft for a king, laid under the lower two thirds of the bed so 45 to 60 cm shows on each side. A 5x8 or 6x9 ft rug works at the foot of the bed or beside it.
Which bedroom rugs feel softest underfoot?
Deeper piles in New Zealand wool, such as the Plush Collection at 18 to 20 mm, and the Cashmere Blend rugs in wool and cashmere. Wool with Botanical Silk feels soft with a low sheen.
How do I care for a wool bedroom rug?
Vacuum it regularly and use a professional cleaner for anything deeper. Rotate it every few months so it wears and fades evenly.
Can I order a bedroom rug in a custom size?
Yes. Any design can be made to measure around your bed, in about 30 days for hand tufted rugs and about 35 days for handloom rugs, plus delivery.
