Fine Wool Rugs

A good wool rug comes down to the fibre and the density. Rugberry uses New Zealand wool, Grade I Terra: long, springy and naturally resilient, so the pile recovers instead of flattening. It is hand tufted at a dense pile or woven on the handloom, and wears evenly in daily Indian living.

Fine Wool Rugs: questions

What wool does Rugberry use?
New Zealand wool, Grade I Terra: long, springy and naturally resilient, so the pile recovers instead of flattening. Some designs add Botanical Silk for sheen, and the Cashmere Blend rugs mix wool with cashmere.
Are wool rugs good for Indian homes?
Yes. Wool is naturally resilient and holds colour well, so it wears evenly in daily living. Keep it out of long, direct sun to slow fading, and vacuum regularly.
How are these wool rugs made?
Most are hand tufted at a dense pile of about 14 to 16 mm; others are woven on the handloom, and a few are hand knotted or hand woven. Each rug names its construction on the product page.
Can I see the wool before ordering?
A 30 x 30 cm swatch of any rug costs INR 800 and is credited against the rug order. You can also see rugs at the Noida Experiential Centre and partner stores.
