Rugberry Trade Programme for Designers
The Rugberry Trade Program is a professional account for interior designers and architects in India, with one trade price on every Rugberry rug, projects organised room by room, numbered quotations and a named contact. There is no minimum order, and the trade price is applied for you at checkout.
In short
- The Rugberry Trade Program gives approved interior designers and architects one trade price across all Rugberry collections, shown beside the list price once signed in and applied at checkout, in rupees before GST.
- Designers apply with their studio details and trade licence; a Rugberry consultant reviews the application and confirms the trade price.
- The trade account holds projects room by room, turns any project into a numbered quotation with online payment, and creates a private client link at the price the designer chooses.
- Rugberry Trade Program members have no minimum order, can ship directly to a client's address and can request tear sheets, CAD-ready files and samples.
What is the Rugberry Trade Program?
The Rugberry Trade Program is Rugberry's account for professionals who specify rugs for clients: interior designers, architects and studios working on homes and hospitality projects. It replaces discount codes and email threads with one place for pricing, projects, quotations and orders.
Rugberry was built for the higher end of residential interiors, and much of that work passes through a designer's hands. The programme exists so a designer can shortlist, price, present and order without stepping outside their own process. The full description is on the Rugberry Trade Program page.
How do you join the Rugberry Trade Program?
You join in three steps: apply with your studio details and trade licence, wait for a consultant to review the application and confirm your trade price, then sign in and specify. From then on, trade pricing, samples, files and priority production apply to every project.
- Apply. Send the application form on the trade page with your studio name, contact details and trade licence.
- Review. A Rugberry consultant comes back to you and confirms your trade price and terms.
- Specify. Sign in, and the whole collection shows your trade price beside the list price.
Your trade price is shared once your studio is approved. Rugberry does not publish it, and the figures shown on the trade page are sample figures.
Approval is a conversation, not a form letter. The consultant asks about the kind of projects your studio takes on, the cities you work in and the rooms you usually specify for, so the account contact can help from the first project.
Once approved, sign in on any device. The collection, the Rugberry Reserve and the swatches all show your trade price beside the list price, and the cart applies it without a code.
What does a trade account let you do?
A trade account lets you price, organise, present and order rugs from one screen. The table sets out what changes when you sign in, compared with buying on rugberry.in as a homeowner.

| Task | Homeowner on rugberry.in | Rugberry Trade Program member |
|---|---|---|
| Price | List price, ex GST | One trade price on every rug, beside the list price, applied at checkout |
| Shortlisting | Cart and wishlist | Projects by room, with size, note and quantity on every line |
| Custom pieces | Enquiry to the team | Custom rugs added to a project with a photo and size |
| Extras | Added separately | Underlay and stain resistant coating chosen rug by rug |
| Quotation | Not needed | Numbered, itemised quotation with a link to pay by card or bank transfer, and a PDF |
| Client approval | Not applicable | Private client link at your price or the list price, approved from a phone |
| Orders | Order status by email | Each stage from confirmed to on the loom, finished, shipped and delivered, with an expected date |
| Documents | Product page details | Tear sheet on every line, CAD-ready files and technical documents on request |
| Contact | Customer care | One named contact on WhatsApp, phone or email |
For a project of several rooms, the room by room structure matters most. A living room, a master bedroom and a family room each carry their own lines and totals, and the project total sits beside them.
Each line can carry a note, such as lighter tone or align with window, so the decisions made on site travel with the rug. Projects follow your sign in from laptop to phone, which helps on a site visit when a client asks about a size.
Orders show each stage of the making, with an expected delivery date and tracking added on dispatch. A finished order can be reordered into any open project, which is useful when a second home or a phase two comes along.
How do quotations and client links work?
A quotation is generated from a project in one step: every rug, size and quantity is listed, GST is shown, and the client can pay online by card or bank transfer. A client link is a private page that shows the project room by room at the price you choose, which the client approves from a phone.

The client link can show your own price or the list price, project by project. Your trade price never appears on it. That keeps the commercial relationship between you and your client, where it belongs.
A quotation carries a number, the studio it was prepared for, the project name and each rug with its size in cm and quantity, then the subtotal, GST and total due. It can be downloaded as a PDF for your own files or forwarded as it stands.
Your client sees the rugs, the rooms and your price. Your trade price stays yours.
Trade members can also place orders on behalf of clients and ship straight to the client's address, with trade pricing kept confidential and branded packing with the studio's name available on request.
A typical flow for a residential project runs like this. You shortlist rugs into a project during design development, add one custom rug with a photo and size, choose underlay rug by rug, then create a client link at your own price.
The client approves from a phone, you raise the quotation, and the client or the studio pays online. Every step stays in one account, so nothing depends on a long email thread.
How do samples and colour work for trade members?
Trade members can order swatches, pieces of the real rug in the chosen fibre and colour, and recolour designs in the Rugberry Design Lab before asking for a price. For custom colour, the colourway is approved from physical poms before the rug is made.

- Swatches. The swatch range covers most rugs, at ₹800 each. A swatch shows how the fibre holds light in your client's room, which a screen cannot.
- The Design Lab. The Rugberry Design Lab opens any Rugberry design in its standard sizes, or your own uploaded drawing, and recolours it from a pom box on screen. A tearsheet lists every pom number, and the colourway can be added straight to a project.
- Colour approval. Screens show colour differently, so always confirm against the physical pom.
Our guides to rug samples for designers and custom colour matching cover the sampling stage in detail.
Which rugs do designers specify most through the trade?
Designers in India tend to specify textured, tonal handloom wool for living rooms, wool with Botanical Silk for drawing rooms and bedrooms, and made to measure pieces wherever a room has an unusual size. Rugberry's Studio Collection and customisable rugs cover all three.

- Grain Wool Rug in Sage: handloom New Zealand wool at 12 to 14 mm, in six standard sizes. A quiet green that sits well with timber and cane.
- Cabella Wool & Silk Rug in Frost: hand tufted New Zealand wool and Botanical Silk at 14 to 16 mm, with a low sheen that lifts as the light moves.
- Livid Wool & Silk Rug: hand tufted New Zealand wool and Botanical Silk, clouded in tone, for rooms with dark metal, stone and glass.
For a wider view, read our guide to rugs for interior designers in India and our note on setting a rug budget for an interior project.
Any of these can be made to measure in another size or colour, and added to a project as a custom line. That is often how a trade project ends up: two or three collection pieces in standard sizes, and one drawn rug for the room that matters most.
Does the trade programme cover hospitality and large projects?
Yes. The Rugberry Trade Program covers hotels, boutique stores and other hospitality work as well as homes, with fire retardant treatments, IMO compliant materials and flammability test reports supplied per project as required. Hotel broadloom and site installation are part of Rugberry's hospitality service.
For these projects, documents matter as much as the rug: material certification and FF and E documentation are provided on a per project basis. See Rugberry Projects for the sectors covered.
For fully bespoke designs, Rugberry's trade terms give 4 to 8 weeks depending on material and complexity, and trade members receive priority scheduling. Our guide to hotel broadloom and hospitality rugs covers the hotel side in detail.
For a designer working on a single large residence, the same tools apply at a smaller scale: one project, several rooms, one quotation and one contact who knows the project.
Frequently asked questions

Interior designers, architects and design studios can apply to the Rugberry Trade Program with their studio details and trade licence. A Rugberry consultant reviews each application and confirms the trade price.
What discount do Rugberry trade members get?
One trade price applies across every Rugberry collection, rather than a different rate per line. Signed in members see it next to the list price and it is applied at checkout; Rugberry shares the exact figure privately when a studio is approved.
Is there a minimum order for the trade programme?
No. There is no minimum order, so a single rug for one residence gets the same trade price and service as a full house or a hotel.

Yes. Trade members can order on behalf of clients and have rugs shipped directly to the client's address, with trade pricing kept confidential and branded packing available on request.
Are trade prices shown with or without GST?
Trade prices are shown in rupees before GST. GST is added on the quotation and at checkout, with a GST invoice for the order.
When a project is ready for its rugs, the account is ready for the project. Apply on the trade page, or start with the customisable rugs. Material first.
